Civil Professional Engineer / Project Manager / Engineer Associate
Location: Albuquerque, NM
Smith Engineering Company is seeking a Civil Professional Engineer and/or Engineer Associate (recent graduate) to join our Albuquerque, NM office. Engineering services include municipal utilities, flood control & drainage, water & wastewater, land & site development, transportation, structural, and construction phase services. Engineering responsibilities include the prompt and accurate completion of projects, and appropriate judgment to make qualified decisions relevant to design. Project Management consists of obtaining, planning, directing, assigning, and managing work of project team members.
Education / Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree civil engineering or other field with equivalent civil or structural engineering work experience
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience a plus
- New Mexico PE license a plus
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- A valid driver’s license is required
- Travel required
- AutoCAD/ Civil 3D experience is preferred
- WaterCAD, StormCAD, FlowMaster, CulvertMaster experience is a plus
- Field experience is a plus
- Formal Project Management Training is preferred
